Cabins and Cottages

Description

Strahan Colonial Cottages offers colonial-era accommodation on Tasmanias west coast. Built on the northern edge of vast Macquarie Harbour, Strahan is a four-and-a-half hour drive from Hobart. Four restored 19th century buildings have been transformed into sophisticated, self-contained cottages. The Church, once a Methodist Chapel, accommodates four guests in king and queen-size loft bedrooms. The Police Superintendents Cottage, originally a courthouse and jail, has two king-size bedrooms. Both the Church and Police Superintendents Cottage have a spa. Henty Cottage has one queen bedroom, and the two-bedroom Sir Johns Cottage has one queen and two single beds. Strahan Colonial Cottages have log fires and period-style furnishings, including fine antiques. Modern facilities are also included: fully-equipped kitchen, laundry and bathroom, and a television and cd player. There are private gardens and outdoor barbecue areas. Fr
