Arts & Crafts Shops

Description

We took over Port Fairy's old Masonic Hall and opened Blarney Books in 2004. In 2007, we added an art space and changed our name to Blarney Books & Art. In 2009, we founded the international book-art competition, the book-related art competition, the Biblio Art Prize. In 2015 we added a stage to our shop, for author/music events. In 2015 we introduced a curated range of new books. In 2016, we hosted our inaugural Edible Books competition. In 2017, a tiny wedge of the enormous pie that is the Port Fairy Folk Festival came to us and we played host to some of Australia's living legends. In 2018 more living legends via the Folky, AND our Biblio Art Prize turned 10! To mark the occasion we took the exhibition on tour to Tacit Galleries in Melbourne.
